Why should a patient go to you for Physical Therapy?
The patient’s goal is my goal.
If a older adult has back pain and wants to get back to hiking for hunting season, I will not have that patient doing simple bed exercises for months. We will take the pain away and get back to building endurance and strength to hike for miles while carrying a heavy pack.
If a athlete has knee pain and wants to get back to playing basketball, we will be focusing on taking the knee pain away while improving their speed, agility, vertical, and strength
Every treatment I do with my patient’s are structured around THE PATIENT’S GOALS while using evidence based interventions.
When does Apollo Rehab open?
August 1st!
Why did you want to start Apollo?
For two reasons: 1- to improve the patient experience and 2- create an environment where PT’s can practice at the top of their license.
I have seen patient’s treated poorly way too often. Whether seeing them being treated in ways that have no evidence or being told they need to come for PT for way too long, the patient’s needs and wants are rarely prioritized.
In the PT profession today, PT’s are held to unachievable expectations. They must see patient’s a crazy amount of times to keep a job. It is becoming common to only be allowed 20 minutes per appointment.
These are just a few examples, but I know something needs to change and Apollo was created to be a step in the right direction.
